Locals Taproom
Coastal Vibes & Rotating Taps Website
Locals Taproom is a small-town bar in Avila Beach, steps from the pier, rebranded from the former Libertine space with a bright, beach-meets-surfer vibe. They spin vinyl all day (guests pick records), keep a rotating list of local beers and wines, welcome dogs, and partner with nearby restaurants so patrons can order food to the bar.

Project Overview
I designed and built their website to capture that laid-back, coastal energy and make it easy for locals and visitors to see what's on tap and plan a visit. The site needed to reflect their unique brand identity while providing practical functionality for both staff and customers.
Key Features
✓Built with Next.js for a fast, mobile-first experience
✓Sanity.io CMS so staff can update rotating taps (beers/wines) and featured breweries/wineries
✓Clear, simple pages for hours, location, contact, and "What's On Tap"
✓Merch catalog (hats, shirts, etc.) displayed online for in-person purchasing
✓Visual design that mirrors the brand: bright colors, beach imagery, vinyl culture cues
✓Google Workspace setup for the team's email (MX/DNS configuration and onboarding)
✓Basic SEO foundations (metadata, social cards, structured content) to help tourists and locals find them
The Result
A clean, on-brand site that reflects the taproom's beachy vibe, keeps the rotating menu current, and gives patrons quick access to hours, location, and what's pouring—on any device.
